About The PhotographerWade Hooper's initial interest in photography began with astrophotography in the late 1980's. His astro photos were displayed at the Cumberland Science Museum in Nashville,Tennessee. In March of 1997 he captured the Hale-Bopp Comet on film and was featured in an article in the Nashville Tennessean.
His focus was redirected to nature photography when he began working at Bowie Nature Park in 1997. The many ecosystems represented in the park, together with the backdrop of Middle Tennessee's four distinct seasons, made for a compelling and beautiful area in which to learn landscape photography. Wade has continued to photograph the park and has more recently begun to expand his portfolio to other areas of middle and eastern Tennessee. His photos of the park have been featured in the Nashville Tennessean, the Tennessee Magazine and the Tennessee Conservationist.
